Ever get on a rollercoaster ride that just get stucks at the bottom?
That's how I am feeling. I am stuck at the bottom. :(
I know I am very close to menopause. I had gone without a cycle for almost 7 months. That was the longest I'd say I have gone and I probably lost count. That's been grand in of itself but then, I was so sick during that time and I just reverted back to my improper food choices and just no exercise and trying to rest and well, that all just put the weight back on plus some!
It is very frustrating but at least I have not gone up any further. I am looking at 203 this morning and that was pretty depressing. But not completely as it's a pound less than what I was stuck at before!
I started back to Shakeology. Drinking it in the mornings with just water. I still am having trouble getting back on track food wise.
I have thought of going back to Nutrisystem but I just don't want to do that. I don't want to eat the processed foods and then have to transition to regular food. It's so costly too. It's too easy to do and I know if I were to do so, I'd lose the weight way too fast for my body/skin to keep up and well I would look like I was just vacuumed out and well, I just shudder at the thought.
I also looked at Richard Simmons' new program, that looks very interesting and tempting.
Especially as he has his food mover with it.
But I know what to do, I just need to do it!
So I did pick up Rockin Body and Turbo Jam from Beachbody. I tried Rockin Body for a week and whew! It was very fast paced! Shaun T has such energy!!
But I had a hard time keeping up or doing the moves and with the incontinence, all the jumpin around or even with modified moves, it was tough. I couldn't keep up with it too well and my knee was not happy with it.
So I have yet to look at Turbo Jam. I will do so perhaps this weekend and see how it is.
Gives me an idea that I should review each program that I have here to give you an idea how they work so if you are contemplating purchasing them from Beachbody, you will know what to expect from someone who has tried it. A normal person trying it! LOL
Ok...so anyway, I realized that I was expecting myself to just jump into a fast paced program when I am very out of shape. Or rather as they say, in a shape, ROUND! UGH!
I have to start slow and build to it.
With that thought, I am thinking that perhaps I should go back to the Shakeology workouts. They are just 30 mins at first and then to 50. They are lighter and not so hard and they have a modified moves the one girl does in the back to follow if you are not able to do some of the jumping about.
I haven't started that yet but I am also realizing that my food choices are just way out of whack. So, I need to correct that and that has been the toughest thing of all right now. This led me to thinking that maybe, to start, I should do the Ultimate Reset. Clean my body out of all the toxins and junk from the past years or anything still hanging around and then, start slow with Shakeology Workouts and build from there. So I am thinking of ordering that and following it. It will make me have better food choices and I know I need that most of all.
Now the biggest issue for people is expense, how much it costs. Yes, it is expensive, but if you don't invest in yourself now and put forth a bit now, you will later and it will be much more expensive then!
So that's where I am at. I know so much of this is battling that menopause weight gain issue that so many women my age face. But I also know that I can and I will overcome this!
I am also thinking I should do videos for youtube as well to talk about this and to show the progress as I go along.
If I do, I'll post a link here for whoever is reading this and if you would like to follow along. :)
Today is March 1st. A new day on a new month....at the beginning of a new year....3rd month in.
I think today is when I should begin to invest in me. To take better care of me and that begins with my health and food choices.
So here I go! :) Time to get some power to this coaster!

Breast Cancer Awareness Store
I came across this on my facebook and thought I might pass it along to those here too as I do adore the Breast Cancer items!
The Breast Cancer Awareness Store
I wear the white socks I picked up from the grocery store with the lil pink ribbons and I do have the walking shoes already which I adore. I have several other items as well throughout the house with the breast cancer awareness ribbon on them or that are pink. Aside from being my favorite color, it also reminds me about breast cancer awareness. :)
And I am picking up the phone now to call and get a referral for a mammogram as I had to put it off due to being sick last year and missed my normal time. Not putting it off any longer tho'! :)

Divin' Down
Well, it has been eons since I have written here. It's hard cause I got very sick...again. Not once, twice, but three times last year!
It was horrible. Just when I would start to feel better and want to get back to working out, it would hit me again.
It was a very horrible downward spiral. And yup, you guessed it, I gained it all back again! DOH! Each time I tried to start back at it, I got sabotaged. Not able to breathe without coughing up a lung and had the worst coughing attack ever to the point I almost felt I might pass out on the floor. It got me to thinking that maybe I have developed asthma? Geez, I certainly hope not!
So my weight crept back up and I was diving down into the sugar-infested comfort foods and carb heaven, er hell.
It was bad!
So just around Xmas, I began to feel better that I might just be able to start again...but nope, broke my middle toe! OUCH! Slipped on the front welcome mat while trying to get in a box that had been delivered and a flyer from Double Dave's had been left there, despite my No Solicitation sign on the window...and I stepped on it, slipped forward and back and there went my toe! I wasn't sure if I had at first but yup, it got much worse later to the point I had to prop up my foot and lay down in bed.
Enough of that mess! New Year, new start! My toe healed! Nothing you can do for that really but tape it to the next toe which I didn't bother to do, and take pain meds.
So I got some good food in for me and I have been getting my eating under control. Ordered the new chocolate Shakeology and began to work out! :)
This is my day 3 for it and I am already starting to feel better. I felt so weak and man o man just didn't feel like starting again on Monday but I made myself do so.
Glad I did!
Promising myself to push play!
All I have to do, push play and eat right. I have alot to get back to, this being first and foremost. So I am not making any resolutions, just making a promise to myself to do that. Push Play.
It seems that is going to be my next big goal. Lose the weight, get fit and STAY THAT WAY!
Get past a year at least. I am good I noticed for a few months then bammo, I fall back.
A friend was talking to me about Nutrisystem and saying how much better their food is and cheaper too. :) It does sound great but I don't want to do that again. I need to workout and exercise and build my muscles. It makes me want to eat right and better. When I was on Nutrisystem, I had no motivation to exercise.
Working out/exercising makes me want to eat right, eating right urges me to workout cause I know I can't do one without the other.
I keep hearing people say that exercising is not the answer, that it's more food choices and they place the higher percentage there on eating habits/choices. I don't know..maybe that works for others but for me, I know I need to workout. There is no way around it. I have to. It makes my muscles stronger, makes me feel charged with more energy. I feel better. But I am not also fooled into thinking I can eat whatever if I just workout. Nope. It's the combination of them both for me.
Yes, if I changed only my diet, I would probably lose weight too, but I don't want to end up like I had when I did that alone, with sagging skin or parts of me that just looked like it got deflated (namely the 'girls'!!). No thanks. Muscles need me to not only get stronger but to increase my range of motion, help me to be more flexible and feel energetic. Exercising does all that! :)
When you add in eating right, healthy....well you have a winning combination!
So here we go. Back to it!
Oh and another thing, I am sleeping more and resting more as I can. That's just as important. To allow the body to recover and rest. :)
I hope those who read this...and need the inspiration or jump kick, know that you are closer than you think you are....and that it's never too late to start! :)
