Well the crud finally got me. Just as I was starting to work out, bammo, I picked up an upper respiratory infection that is going around. :(
This really has laid me low and scared the heck out of me, complete with breathing attacks, to where I feel I can't breathe in the middle of a coughing attack.
I had gone to the doc's the Monday of Thanksgiving week and got a double strength 3 Zpac but it didn't really take my cough away. My allegra was too old and I couldn't take that and needed more. Friday night, my son began to feel the same scratchy throat that I had started out with too and so by Sat morning, I knew I had to get him in to see the doc as well. I called up and was able to get a walk-in that morning! WOW! Talk about lucky! So I went along and got myself back in again too while I was at it.
She listened to my lungs and they are clear, thank goodness but she could hear me coughing and so gave me some cough suppressant with coedine as well as prednisone and had me pick up some allegra as she said they are no longer allowed to prescribe that since we can get it over the counter now.
For my son, he got straight up penicillin and some tessalon pearls. With him being a heart patient, I don't fool around with him having a cold. She had me pick up some AllegraD for him but not to take it until after his allergy testing. We just had part one of that completed yesterday and he'll go back on Wed, tomorrow for the other half. Looks like he has some allergies for a few things but not near as bad as myself and my daughter do. He'll get the food test done however tomorrow and we'll see and then figure out how best to approach his.
So here I am, back to whatever weight it may be. I haven't looked. The doc's had me back up to 194 but that's with clothes and after breakfast, etc etc. But I figure at least around 192. Now that I am just starting to feel better and have been able to finally sleep, I am back to starting to eat right. As soon as the cold is gone, I'll get back to working out. New goal now will be to trim up by Faire in April. It will give me enough time to do so. This cold has really knocked me for a loop tho' and I know I have to rest my body at this time and not push it.
Looks like a December start date then for the holiday workout.

Well It's Been Decided!
Tomorrow, 11/11/11 will kick off my holiday workout weight loss!
I know, most people gain during the holidays, but last year at this time, I started a workout plan and I had LOST, yes that's right, LOST weight! I was able to lose 27 inches last year from November to March and I was so excited and felt great! I plan on doing that again this year. Over the course of the year, I flipped back and forth from 185 to 190 something or other but I managed to wiggle back down to the 180s--187/186 or so.
I'll be doing measurements in the morning to document that before I begin to exercise. My eating will return to being strict again and I'll keep up the dedicated Shakeology.
I am going to return to WOWY on Beachbody to help keep me motivated and accountable. It's time to focus on ME! :) I don't like to wait for the New Year's Resolution, why wait? Nothing like starting NOW and to be so proud and excited too to lose the weight over the holiday time when everyone normally gains, you just gotta love that!!
Since I have been sedentary for a while again, I know when I start to exercise, I will start to see a good drop in weight and my muscles will be sore for a day or so. I'll not do doubles just yet, just wean myself into it. Power90 will start me off tomorrow and Sunday will be a day of rest as usual with Monday going back to it. 6 days a week for at least a week and then I will slowly start to incorporate the Shakeology workouts in there at least 3 days a week.
I plan to keep on track until February, when I should have completed Power90! So yellow disk for the rest of November and about halfway thru December, just before Xmas, I'll switch to the blue disk which is the next level.
I know that number for my weight seems like ALOT but it isn't. My little 5'2 body barely handles it, but hides the fat well so that I don't look like that weight. My arms are thin, legs are not bad either, the weight is all in the mid-section. Waist and hips mostly with some in the chest and thighs and buttocks. I am lucky in some ways as to how I carry my weight but it's tough to lose tho', especially when you have such a sweet tooth as I do.
My cords have been feeling a bit loose lately although I am still in size 16. My first goal is to get to size 14 and hold it there for a bit. So it's about 30 - 40 lbs to lose total. I know I can, just a matter of focusing and dedication.
So tomorrow is the day to begin!

Maintaining! Very Cool!
Back from my trip out to the Stanley Hotel and visiting friends and I was amazed that I was able to maintain my weight and not gain anything! I did take my Shakeology with me and tried to stick with the plan as best as I could. Walked a bit here or there, nothing too significant.
I will take measurements probably tonight and then hopefully be rested enough to jump back onto the horse and get busy working out! I plan on dedicating myself again over the holidays so I can lose another 10 lbs at the very least! I am so excited for it will put me into the 170s!! WOO HOO!!
So today is the last of the goodie day! :) Then I'll be taking most of the leftover Halloween candy to Moxley Manor for everyone to enjoy there including the customers for their Nightscare before Xmas haunt in a couple weeks.
I am excited tho' to be on this threshold now and to be moving on down!! I feel so motivated and excited for I thought surely, I would be sitting at 190 but NOPE!! Gotta love it!
THANK YOU SHAKEOLOGY!!
