Bounced out of bed today, hurrying downstairs to get the trashcans out. Ooooowwww! I felt my foot hurting from yesterday's workout. I think I pulled something but after a bit of walking, I got it warmed up and figured I would wait a bit before I started T25 this morning.
Just finished it and my foot felt fine. *whew* I don't need an injury. I want to get thru this and continue on with my doubles! I am just tired of this and not messing around anymore. Time to get serious and lose this weight!
So I completed the Speed 1.0 a few minutes ago. Felt pretty good. I really enjoy the stretching moments that Shaun T throws in there. Man that feels awesome!
Cooling down with some water and just had some nuts. I need to lose the salted stuff and once they are done, I'll move on to the unsalted, raw nuts.
I have images of me getting fit, being fit and riding my bike and having a similar figure that I had when I was much younger. I know it won't ever really go back to that, nor would I want it to either, but man, to lose this thickness around the middle and some of this belly fat would be awesome!
I am waiting a few minutes now before I start with the Upper Fix with the 21 Day Fix workout. I noticed in WOWY that other people were doing other workouts and it made me think that once fit, most of the people are just doing the other workouts and I imagine once you are fit, you could just do whatever program, some sort of workout and be just fine then, keep the weight and fat off that way. I would bet too that the other programs might not be that much of a challenge, the lighter ones, once you are fit.
The plan now is to stick with these double workouts. If I miss a few days, like I know I will this weekend, that's ok, I'll get right back on it come Monday and keep on going strong! The key for me is sticking with the healthy food choices. Most of the time, all these past few years, several actually, I have just continued to self sabotage all of my efforts. I might lose some, then I'll gain it all back with interest. They say that yo-yo'ing is worse than just having the same fat all that time.
Who knows...but what I do know is that I need this gone and I need to remain active to keep it off and keep with a good choice of healthy foods.
Hmmm and since I've been eating this 21 Day Fix...I can't remember the last time I had a hot flash? That's interesting. They do say too that exercise and diet and rest is key for that. I need to make myself go to sleep at least by 10. I know I need more rest than I am getting.
Well, today, I will complete this other workout with the Upper Fix and then shower and have a nice salad for lunch with some fruit.
Then, I think I will treat myself to the movies :)

After Falling off the Weight Loss Wagon...
And oh boy eating badly this past weekend too! I gave into the sugar craving, the chocolate one....
but....
I decided enough was enough so this morning, I weighed in at 201.5 and thought well that's good! I didn't gain too much back after not working out for almost 2 weeks!?
So today, this morning, I looked thru what workout dvds I have out of my moving boxes and I saw T25. I am going to do doubles for a while. T25 to start my mornings with and then afterwards, waking my son up to do the 21 Day Fix. I'll also be getting some bike riding in there too and some days will have extra workouts.
I have to be serious and get this done. Being over 200 is too much. 190s are too much. Now that I have some great new sneakers and have found all my workout shorts, there is just no excuse. None.
So getting up early to get the workouts done. I tried to not do them until my son woke up later in the mornings but I just found myself not doing them. Getting caught up with work or just relaxed for the day and it's so hard to be motivated once I am sitting about on the computer and working or toodling through Facebook. It's hard to get up off your lazy bum and get moving! I have most of my energy in the early mornings and if I promise myself not to get on here unless it's to start the workouts in WOWY, at the Beachbody site, then I can get it done. I can workout and then do a little bit of work, have some water and then get my son up by 8 am and get him down here to workout again with me.
I make breakfast and we head off to the shower which starts our day. It really works well, it's a great routine.
I know I will be sore as heck tomorrow. I felt I did a little twist on my right side but that's ok. It's not bad and I feel so much better, more focused after having worked out like that.
I have a good plan now, and just need to follow thru. I know my birthday is coming up here on Thursday and I plan to spend it at the beach and will eat bad but that's ok. Then I am leaving for the weekend and that's ok too. I'll be right back at it again on Monday. :)
I feel better if I miss a few days here or there if I am doing doubles, that's ok.
I think overall, it will be good and I have stayed with the eating plan for the most part too. So we'll see how it goes!
Will take measurements later on! :)

21 Day Fix--Round Two!
I have to say, I was feeling a bit down. I want fast results and was feeling impatient a bit and eating the same things and just well, in a plain ol' mood!
Started round two however after I missed a few days here or there in round one and I just let other things in my life prevent me from working out, tho' I did keep up with the food choices. My son likes to sleep in, A LOT and we started to do the workout in mid-morning after our first snack instead of first thing in the morning before breakfast. It was working for a few days and then, I got busy with work and the day got away from me and the next thing I knew it was time for lunch...snack...well damn!
So I was feelin' frustrated and I had told him we were gonna have to go back to working out in the morning, first thing cause we just don't do it later in the day. I thought we might take off the rest of the week and then start again this coming Monday.
Yet, something told me to go weigh myself today. Before I have breakfast. To take a peek and see what it really is as I have not weighed myself in over a week or so. That in of itself is an accomplishment for me!
So I did.
AND?!
I am 200, flat!! OMG! I have lost 6.5 lbs! I am so excited! Now that gives me motivation! It's working!! YAY!
And it makes me want to work out NOW and keep going! I want to break that 200 mark and get my butt down into the 190s and keep going! I do feel like I am eating way too much food tho' but obviously my body has needed it and needed the RIGHT kinds of food for so long. I do feel stronger now that I am working out again, tho' I have missed a few days.
This is just so great! I know I have to have patience and keep up the dedication and motivation and not stop! I was thinking of doing a second workout later on in the day/evening to drive up my metabolism and I know riding my bike will also help! So that means I need to get up off my behind and get moving! :)
How thrilling to watch this weight go down and I figure I will workout for two more weeks and then I'll take measurements! :) And pics and go around again for another 3 weeks! I want to repeat this until September and when the new P90 comes out, get that and do it! :) That will take me to December
I have to keep reminding myself that I am fighting age here and genetics/heredity and just plain bad habits and sugar addiction. I do want to say tho' that I love the fruit! And I think the Shakeology Chocolate I just got is the newer mix cause it is sooooo good and tastes so much better!
Alright, here I go! The start of another new day!

21 Day Fix--The Start!
Each time I have started a new workout plan, I seem to last about 3 weeks. At that point, something happens, or I lose motivation or other things in life intrudes and I find an excuse not to work out.
So when I saw this one, 21 Day Fix, and how it was not just working out, but eating right too for a 3 week plan, I was excited!
This might just work! :) Now as you know if you have followed this, I must have nearly every program that Beachbody has put out, almost. And granted, any one of them would work if I dedicated myself to it and was strict on the eating plan. But I was having a hard time with the food choices, not to mention food portions. It was hard to switch off the other foods and eat weird things or food I am so not used to.
This one however gives you those neat little containers so that you can portion out what you are eating and with each food group. It also helps you figure out how much of each one you should be eating according to your weight and the workouts are only 30 minutes each! You really can't beat that and they have taken alot of the guess work out of it.
But...and yes, there is a but here, you do have to figure out what you are going to be eating to be sure you get in all the containers that you need to for the day. So I sit down and plan out what I am going to eat the next day and if I need anything for that day, I go to the grocery store. You could plan this for a week easy, but you just have to be careful about the fresh produce that it doesn't go bad on you.
Expiration dates are important!
Well, I started this on Monday. I had weighed myself on Saturday/Sunday after returning from a trip to the UK and I weighed the most I have ever had in my entire life. 206.5! *ugh* That's just bloody awful! So as of today, just a few days later, I now weigh 204! Wow! 2.5 lbs gone already! That's just awesome!
So what kinds of things am I eating? What am I doing?
First thing in the morning, I have some water and then workout for the 30 minutes and then I go right to making breakfast. Breakfast this morning consists of 2 scrambled eggs, half an english muffin and a wedge of watermelon plus my 2 Activit Fat-burning multi-vitamins. And I have to say...OMG!
This is just soooo delicious! What a great breakfast! Now I can swap out the half of an english muffin for a little bit of whole grain, low sugar cereal and we did that the other day with Special K Pecan I believe it was and we can also swap it for a whole grain waffle or slice of whole grain bread or something like that. Fruit can be whatever and then the protein, we can swap for turkey bacon or something else. I may get some canned salmon or something and try that sometimes.
Then, you are eating every 2 hours. Snack is Shakeology and fruit or nut and then lunch is a nice salad and then another snack and then dinner. That's it! You are definitely not hungry!
I just finished day 4 and feel really good, just a little sleepy. But so far, so good!
I will be away next weekend but I hope to be as good as I possibly can while away although I won't be able to workout as I am leaving this with my son to do while I am away but I will do doubles when I get back I figure to make up for it. Of course, with this encouragement and the feeling of completion at the end of the 3 weeks, I fully intend on keeping at it for 3 week intervals until September at least, trying to lose what I can before I head off on an extended weekend trip! :)
Exciting once again to see the numbers go down and off we go to the start of getting fit and healthy again! :)

Self Sabotage Ends
Sometimes, when you know something, but choose to ignore it or forget about it and then it all hits you all over again, it's like a DUH moment.
The past month working out with Chalean Extreme has been great. I wasn't able to continue on with it after the first 30 days as I went off to Transworld's Halloween Attraction show for almost a week and then had a hard time getting back into working out. I made myself do so today tho'. No April Fool's, I worked out this morning! :)
I kept thinking about this article that Tony Horton posted on his FB the other day, about how we are poisoning ourselves with all this fat food, processed and sugary junk. That tho' yes, you really need to exercise and diet, it's actually the diet that is the most important part of that process. People have told me this for years. I've proved it over and over again too to myself. Even take this past month for example, I worked out each day I was suppose to, not failing at all and giving it my best, sweating up a storm, etc etc....and yet? I ate bad. Junk, finishing Nutrisystem stuff...just making bad choices, processed choices. I didn't lose the weight. I did lose a few inches, but that was it really. Not to what I knew my body was capable of doing.
Ok, so with that on my mind the past few days, I woke up this morning thinking, that's it. I have to eat right. No candy, no junk, just more healthy food choices. That means salads more like I know my body is craving some veg and fresh fruit. I haven't been having that too much and I so need it.
So I made a promise to myself that for the next 60 days, which is exactly the amount of time left before I go on my trip back to the UK for 2 weeks, I won't eat junk. No candy, no cookies...no cakes or pies or nothing like that. I will eat healthy and workout and maybe even catch up on the workouts I didn't get in, the past 9 of them.
I have lost like 2 lbs since I started the whole thing. That's nothing. Granted, 2 lbs is a lot in some regards when you look at that blob of fat pic that I have posted. It's larger than my hand. Two of those!
But I want to lose at least 10 lbs more before I go on that trip. So that means 5 lbs each 30 days.
I think I can do that. :)
I know I am fighting age here. It's becoming harder and harder to lose it the older I get but I am not going to let that deter me at all. I will just keep pushing. I keep seeing all those success stories, the before and afters and I really want that to be me. But it comes with hard work and dedication and being disciplined with yourself. And yes, it's easier said than done when you have grown up with junk food. Terribly hard to break habits, break traditions even!
Yes...traditions. Traditions of eating bad, gorging on candy and junk. Yep, tradition of doing that. So what do you do? Replace those traditions, habits, of eating badly for holidays or yadda yadda and create new ones. So I talked to my kids' dad and told him, no more candy. No Easter candy.
I know shockeroo eh?!
But yup, no more.
I kept hearing Chalene saying that is "YOU" who buys that stuff and sets the tone for your family. Oh boy...yep, that is me. It is me who got the junk and brought it into the house. It IS me who is making the cakes and crap.
Ok so instead of buying all that Easter candy, which used to be way too much and we'd have tons of leftover that would last us a month or so, it went down to just 3 bags for each kid and they got to pick it out. This year? We won't be doing that. No more.
This year, we've decided to create a new tradition and that's going out to dinner instead. Forgoing all the candy and stuff. No more lemon egg shaped cakes, no more peanut butter eggs. No more Peeps. (which I never ate anyway but not buying them no more)
So it's to dinner instead and choosing something good for us. Or if we indulge, we do it once and not over the top. Just a piece or a slice and that's that. It's time we were kinder to our bodies and improve our health.
That's the plan. I think it's a good one too.
I keep thinking of when the kids are out of the house and living on their own, which is going to be soon once we move. Daughter goes off to college with her bf and my son gets his own place.
I will be alone then and no way I want to have that candy in my house. The food I have been buying has already been changing a lot as it is recently.
Self-sabotaging now ends. I need to take better care of myself.
Felt great to get the workout done this morning, sweating like crazy and then drink a Results & Recovery and then Shakeology and now water thereafter. Next up for snack is a nice juicy, ice cold Granny Smith apple. :)
Salad for lunch....nuts for snack....and something healthy for dinner....either a NS meal or time to pick up some salmon and steam it with some veggies.
Will check in again in a few days!

Figuring things out
I made it, past the first month of Chalean Extreme!
For some reason, I could not stick with T25 for this long, I kept stopping at around the 3 week mark. I think part of it was because I wasn't losing weight. But I can't say that T25 doesn't work, it will, but I was not seeing results for my own fault, it was my diet holding me back. I was eating Nutrisystem but couldn't bring myself to eat all the food they were wanting me to and I just couldn't do it anymore. I floundered off then and ate bad, candy and sweets, junk. So I was fighting against myself. I had to stop.
So I have been looking at Chalean Extreme for a while now and so I ordered it. I was so excited to get started, I love having a new program to try out. I was struggling the first month in deciding if I should continue to finish eating the NS food as it was easy and convenient and so I did that but I remained at a standstill and trying hard not to get discouraged.
But, I began to wonder if perhaps if I was not eating enough. You know you hear how your body holds on tight to fat thinking you are starving yourself? I also know that I am fighting the age thing, on top of the woman thing. So after not really budging for a month, I began to count calories and getting some real, non-processed food in. I remembered how and what I ate while doing Power 90 and had lost 17 lbs and began to go back to that more so.
So after one day of that, thinking I was not eating enough after counting calories and seeing how low that seemed to be, I began to eat better.
First day of keeping track? I lost a pound!
Finally it moved! I did also take my measurements and I have lost around 3 inches! That was very encouraging!
So now, I started the 2nd month, the Push phase. I need new sneakers and heavier weights but I am managing with what I have for now.
While reading Health magazine, I saw an article that talked of this app that tracks your calories and I was excited as I loved the idea and found it, downloaded it and began to use it.
And wow! This opened my eyes too as to what I was eating! The first day the fat amount was too much and the calories were not small, but higher than I thought. So, yesterday, I paid more attention and set the app to having a goal of losing 2 lbs a week and the app calculated how many calories I needed. The problem with it tho is that it does not have Beachbody's programs in it, I had to add each one so did that for yesterday, Push Circuit 2.
But wouldn't that be great to have an app that calculated approximately the amount of calories burned from a workout from Beachbody AND calculated your calorie intake? So it could tell you if you were going to burn fat? Even more so of something like a popup or even an alarm sound or like a Don Rickles or Rodney Dangerfield sound byte came on to say something like "No respect, no respect at all for your body!" Something even to insult you in a comical way to stop you from eating something bad when you log it in. It would be really great tho! Even if it was Tony Horton saying "Don't eat that cheeseburger!"
It's a cool idea tho. Why don't we have a Beachbody app by now?
Anyway, I kept the calories really close to the 1200, going over it by just a few.
So this morning, I got curious to see if the scale might show the change from keeping my calories lower and eating better. I've been stuck at 203/203.5 now for weeks, not being able to drop off the 200 mark and slip at least into the 190s. It's been really hard. I couldn't get that number to budge. I had managed to see 202.5 and 202 but then right back to 203.5 again.
Well....I weighed in this morning to see I am at 200 even!! Oh now that is exciting! Never thought I'd be happy to see that number but I am because it means I am about ready to drop down into the 190s!!! Oh yea!
I ate much better, cleaner yesterday and it made a huge difference!
Time to keep that steamer out and getting back to using it! Back to cleaner eating, less processed food and more healthy. This past month showed me that that is the way to go for me. No more Nutrisystem stuff, I think only in a pinch and when it's gone, it's gone. The desserts are about gone so it's only the dinners left, but I am going to box them up this morning and save them for maybe once a week or something like that. Not a treat, just when I'm pressed for time, til they are gone anyway. What is nice is that they have the bar code on them and I can scan them in and know if that is what I really want to eat and put Into my body.
I am so loving this app! For those who do read this blog and want to know the app, it is called: MyFitnessPal
It's not perfect as to what all I would like it to do but it works! :)
Love it!
Even more so of something like a popup or even an alarm sound or like a Don Rickles or Rodney Dangerfield sound byte came on to say something like "No respect, no respect at all for your body!" Weight Loss Enemy: The Scale
Yup! The weight scale is the enemy when you are starting a workout program, starting to try to lose weight.
I was one of those scale-aholics, where I could not stop looking at and weighing myself every day. I couldn't -not- check it each morning.
Well, as I am in the beginning stage of Chalean Extreme and it is very weight-lifting heavy...as in, I am lifting a lot of weights and that means I am building muscle right now. Of course coupled with still finishing off the Nutrisystem food and then the junk I was still eating up until a couple days ago...= no weight loss.
But is that really accurate?
Good question. More than likely, it is not accurate of the fat loss because the numbers on a scale simply cannot show you if you have lost fat and what part of the numbers are muscle gain.
So I did not step on the scale at first but then the temptation was too much and so I peeked. Disappointed to see it was the same, I knew however that I had to stop eating junk, had to stop eating the peanut m&ms that are here in the house. So the peek served somewhat of a purpose and I finished off breakfast from Nutrisystem and now I have but one more lunch left, tho I do have a lot of dinners still. I am thinking still about boxing up the NS food left as I still have desserts too and setting it aside until after this workout program. Undecided tho yet as they are convenient but I can't seem to shake the feeling that they are holding me back.
But the scale issue aside, I do feel really great! Yes, one lb down, but the increased energy and feeling so much stronger too, is just a great feeling, as well as just the accomplishment of knowing I did it, I got the workout done first thing in the morning and done for the day.
I also have been trying to get to sleep earlier so I do get in some proper rest.
So far, so good! I am very proud of myself for having come this far and can truly see myself going all the way! I am enjoying this first month of workouts with this program. :)
I just feel like this year is about a lot of changes, so much is really going well!
Part of me would really like to get the business part of this off the ground, but I know I am my most worst enemy there and I really feel that I need to get fit and show and prove the workouts do work. To have a good before and after is key. Then and only then can I say, yes, you can do it as I know where you are for I was there, starting over and over and over again over many years, til finally I found a program that I clicked with and was at a point in my life where I was ready to make the lifetime change and not just the temporary change so I got the temporary weight loss and with return of bad habits came return of even more fat.
I want to be able to really show the changes. So that means I need to walk the walk not just talk the talk. Pictures are worth a thousand words...video? Even more!
Sum it up? No scale until I do measurements at the end of this section of the workout, so it means I have two weeks to go. I need to keep cleaning up my diet and should start to count calories to be sure I am eating enough. And just keep pushing play, no matter what, keep doing what I know is right, get stricter with myself. :)
And on that note, off to sleep! :)

2nd Week - Chalean Extreme
This is my second week working out with Chalean Extreme and I have to say, so far, I am really enjoying it!
This week is the same as week one and I continue the same order of workouts throughout the first month. I am happy to be back lifting weights as I have always enjoyed doing that. Chalene fits in two cardio sessions, one is mixed with weights and the other is more predominately cardio.
I have felt my muscles get sore from day one and then slowly gain strength now and not be so sore.
I know that won't last and the heavier of weights I go, the more challenging it is to my muscles. To that end, I do need to head over to Sports Authority and pick up more weights and also to get new sneakers as the ones I have are really too old and I need better support.
I finally finished the breakfasts from Nutrisystem and will be finishing the lunches. The dinners and desserts still have a way to go before I am done but lately, I am thinking of stopping that now, putting NS away and just going back to eating more healthy real food so I can see results now rather than later by doing away with the pastas that NS seems to have so much of. I feel like my body is warring with itself with this right now coupled with eating junk too, it's just not good. I need to go back to eating healthy. Naturally so.
I have already felt more energetic and more driven and focused since starting this workout program and I have to say, it does feel good. Almost feeling like I should do doubles but don't want to kill myself with it so, just one day at a time is good.
:)
I am already, also, feeling good about myself and that too, is very important.
But for now, I need some sleep. :)
Good proper rest is a very big deal.
So goodnight everyone! :)

It is never easy
It is never easy to get started and stay motivated to work out, exercise and to make that lifestyle change so that you eat better and make exercise a part of your day.
Even when you love the feeling of such energy charging through your system, it can still be difficult to maintain. So many things in life can interrupt or get in the way, become obstacles that make you stumble and fall. Or just stop completely and go right back to your old habits, which means that the weight returns and usually returns in a frenzy!
Next thing you know, you have packed on the pounds and more than what you had originally started with!
After that, many people become depressed and discouraged. It can be a very sad, terrible cycle.
So what do you do?
Good question.
I think when you are at that point, that you have to really look at your life and the reasons you stopped or reverted back to your bad choices and lack of exercise.
For me, it was at first my cycle. So I figured out a way to deal with it in fact just work thru my menstrual cycle and of course as I approach menopause, my periods are few and far between. Bonus!
The second obstacle I was encountering were all the trips I was taking. So I began to just work out in the hotel. This had a 50/50 success rate as it was hard to keep up that as when I would get to the room, I would want to just relax and so all good intentions were out the window.
The other obstacles? Were holidays....special dinners...things like that. Those were not too hard to overcome. The birthday or holiday goodies were replaced with flowers and clothes and things I could not eat and so the rewards were not food or desserts, but instead, something nice I could wear or a material item. As for the scrumptious dinners, I satisfied myself with just one bite and then I ate my more healthy choice. That helped a great deal!
Not seeing the weight drop on the scale.
Oh that is such a toughie! It's really not a fair judge either for while you are working out, you are gaining muscle mass so it might appear you gained instead of losing fat, but in reality, you have lost more than you may know. You really have to go by measurements and not the number on the scale.
Ok so what are the good motivations?
Everyone always starts out well, full of fire and energy.
Losing weight and getting fit to allay the fear of dying or getting cancer.
Wanting to lose "x" amount of weight to fit into a certain outfit or in time for an event or trip.
Also, to just feel better about yourself. For those of you who have exercised before and know the feeling I am talking about, when you exercise, you really feel rejuvenated and it actually gives you more energy and you don't feel as sluggish or tired.
And the list goes on and is unique to everyone's special circumstances and issues in life.
Yet, despite these motivations, you can still falter, still quit and give up or even settle and try to be happy at the weight you are. But doing that, your weight issues don't go away. Your health issues that the excess weight has been the cause of, do not go away.
So, you have to ask yourself, just how bad do you want it. How bad do you want to lose weight? What are you willing to do to get fit? Are you ready to make this a lifetime change for a lifetime of better health? Cause a temporary fix means the loss is only going to be temporary and you will end up with all that weight back and then some added on to boot! Plus, the older you get, the harder it is to lose it. Your metabolism will hit rock bottom and you will have to jump start it to get it going again. Your obstacles become even greater than what they ever were.
Sounds daunting eh?
It can be. But, as Beachbody says, commit...and I prefer the term: "dedicate" yourself. I see it as a gift to give yourself, to really care about yourself, your body, your health and do what you know is the right thing for your body.
So what am I leading up to?
Yes, I am re-dedicating myself. I feel I needed something more vigorous and longer than T25. I needed a basic, hard core program, and I needed weights incorporated more so. I need to make working out, a non-negotiable act or event or activity in my life. I hated to set the T25 aside, but I will return to it, made that promise to myself.
But for now, I am laying myself in Chalene's hands, in my own hands, and get myself disciplined and back into a good routine. I need to do this for me.
Ok so my motivations and goals:
Get more fit by May 30th, before I fly off for the UK. I would love to lose like 50 lbs, but I will take what I can get at this point. Still, that is a long term goal. Short is more like 5-10 a month, I would be happy. Even more happier to lose the inches!
So Chalean Extreme is on the way and should arrive this week and that means I will be starting next Monday! I am looking forward to starting!
Wish me luck! Better yet, join me!
See you there!

Keeping it Going
I have done well thus far. Today was day 3 of T25 and this morning, I almost tried to excuse myself out of it since I was up so late last night. I talked myself back into it tho this morning as I reminded myself that it is only 25 mins and once done, I would be glad I got it done and out of the way. And I was. I also didn't really drink at all last night. I had a sip of a strawberry margarita that I had made but eh....wasn't in the mood but I did have some chili and well dinner was not as healthy as I could have.
My body is sore in some places that I know Shaun T was having me work with and use that I am not used to doing so. I relaxed for most of the morning thereafter as I was looking thru the net for family tree stuff and the morning got away from me but by lunch, I went ahead and began to work on the house and packing things away as I want to sell it and move. Got thru the Harry Potter room, the laundry and most of the kitchen and put up a few things for sale on craigslist. It felt good to get all that accomplished and not feel so tired or sluggish and I know it is the workouts that do that and I did have another Results and Recovery drink this morning as well as yesterday morning. I did cancel the auto ship for that as I have a ton of it here that I had not been drinking before but plan to over the next several weeks.
I am forcing myself to not weigh myself at all until Sunday. I will do measurements then too. But I don't want to peek to know how things are going, I want it to be a surprise. Good or bad.
A week isn't really a fair judgement however, I know I need a good solid month or more, but this is a start.
Well, I managed to not get the cold or flu that was going around and nearly 3 here in my household if not 4, had gotten sick. As soon as I felt it coming, I rested more, drank more water and got liquids like soup and more juice and hot tea too and I managed to keep it at bay.
So the only thing I have coming up that will prove to be a bit hairy is the big trip to Houston at the end of the month for a full week. I am driving to San Antonio first and know I can work out early morning before I go and then the next morning again there in the hotel before I leave for Houston and then, keeping disciplined, each morning at the hotel there before coming home. I will be on about the last week of Alpha I think so I really want to stick to it and I will be almost ready to move to Beta. Will see how I feel then if I go further or by then, I would like to get Chalene Extreme. But one step at a time. T25 Alpha first.
I have to get thru that and get my food choices cleaned up more and more each day. First stop is to cut out the soda and having my last one now. That's not so hard to do either for I really don't drink it too often anyway.
It is exciting tho, to start again and to know and have faith and trust that it will work. Fat will melt away, muscles will grow stronger and oh yes, the soreness does go away too! But having done this before and having such great success with Power90 and Slim in 6, I already know what I need to do, it's just a matter of doing it.
While I was working out yesterday and today, I kept thinking of what I wanted to be sure and say here in this blog, but of course now, I can't remember...so perhaps it will come to me tomorrow. :)
