Keeping it Going

I have done well thus far. Today was day 3 of T25 and this morning, I almost tried to excuse myself out of it since I was up so late last night. I talked myself back into it tho this morning as I reminded myself that it is only 25 mins and once done, I would be glad I got it done and out of the way. And I was. I also didn't really drink at all last night. I had a sip of a strawberry margarita that I had made but eh....wasn't in the mood but I did have some chili and well dinner was not as healthy as I could have.

My body is sore in some places that I know Shaun T was having me work with and use that I am not used to doing so. I relaxed for most of the morning thereafter as I was looking thru the net for family tree stuff and the morning got away from me but by lunch, I went ahead and began to work on the house and packing things away as I want to sell it and move. Got thru the Harry Potter room, the laundry and most of the kitchen and put up a few things for sale on craigslist. It felt good to get all that accomplished and not feel so tired or sluggish and I know it is the workouts that do that and I did have another Results and Recovery drink this morning as well as yesterday morning. I did cancel the auto ship for that as I have a ton of it here that I had not been drinking before but plan to over the next several weeks.

I am forcing myself to not weigh myself at all until Sunday. I will do measurements then too. But I don't want to peek to know how things are going, I want it to be a surprise. Good or bad.
A week isn't really a fair judgement however, I know I need a good solid month or more, but this is a start.

Well, I managed to not get the cold or flu that was going around and nearly 3 here in my household if not 4, had gotten sick. As soon as I felt it coming, I rested more, drank more water and got liquids like soup and more juice and hot tea too and I managed to keep it at bay.

So the only thing I have coming up that will prove to be a bit hairy is the big trip to Houston at the end of the month for a full week. I am driving to San Antonio first and know I can work out early morning before I go and then the next morning again there in the hotel before I leave for Houston and then, keeping disciplined, each morning at the hotel there before coming home. I will be on about the last week of Alpha I think so I really want to stick to it and I will be almost ready to move to Beta. Will see how I feel then if I go further or by then, I would like to get Chalene Extreme. But one step at a time. T25 Alpha first.
I have to get thru that and get my food choices cleaned up more and more each day.  First stop is to cut out the soda and having my last one now. That's not so hard to do either for I really don't drink it too often anyway.

It is exciting tho, to start again and to know and have faith and trust that it will work. Fat will melt away, muscles will grow stronger and oh yes, the soreness does go away too! But having done this before and having such great success with Power90 and Slim in 6, I already know what I need to do, it's just a matter of doing it.

While I was working out yesterday and today, I kept thinking of what I wanted to be sure and say here in this blog, but of course now, I can't remember...so perhaps it will come to me tomorrow. :)

There It Goes!

5 lbs gone!
Just incredible! Now down to 199! It was good to see the 200 mark go!

I am getting more used to working out now with Shaun T with his T25 program. It's nice that's it is only 25 minutes and it's over before you know it! You forget about the time and are so busy focusing on him and what he says and wants you to do next that you look up and realize omg! I only have 5 mins left! And it encourages you to do better, finish strong. It's just really great!

I am slowly getting into the habit again of working out when I first wake up. That way, I can get it done and out of the way and I can relax the rest of the day and that night too.
Today was a double work out so I worked out when I woke up and then again at lunch time and now just showered and feel really good, nice and relaxed.

And what else is great is only working out M-F! Tomorrow will be measurement day and then Sunday, I will do a stretch routine for 25 mins which is always great. I love to stretch. I hear so many instructions fuss about people whining or not wanting to stretch. I just can't imagine that! I love to stretch! It's the greatest thing to do when you are done. Shaun T gives you 2-3 mins of stretching after your hard workout of 25 mins. And it feels really good. I love to hear his encouraging words there at the end and to try to stretch as he is doing and I can tell I am getting better all the time, more flexible and more stronger too!

I am still doing the modified version of the workout cause I can't jump up and down. My plantar's fasciitis is still painful but it is less now than what it was before. :) I know as I get stronger, eventually, I hope to be able to jump and bounce and work even harder with Shaun T! :) It's just an awesome feeling knowing this is working! The combination of T25, Nutrisystem and Shakeology!
I was worried it might be too many calories but so far, nope! I am losing at a nice rate.
Today, since I knew I was to workout twice, I went ahead and drank my Results and Recovery drink after the first workout. It was the Lower Focus and what I didn't realize, what Shaun T said, was that since I am working the larger muscles in my body during Lower Focus, that I would sweat more and work harder. So it was a good workout to drink that Results and Recovery. It is really delicious too, like drinking an Orange Julius! YUM!

I feel better now, having a good plan of attack. I know this is a battle that I can win if I just stick to the programs. So far, I am not deflated either! LOL
I am halfway thru T25 Alpha and looking forward to finishing it and then flipping over to Beta. :)

It's cool! I am doing it!! YAY!

Wow! Right out of the Gate!

I always had a feeling I was not eating enough food. Enough of the right kind of food anyway. After one day of eating Nutrisystem and eating more vegetables and fruit and a more balanced diet and a bit more water, I lost 3 lbs!!

That's just amazing!

That was just after one day! Ok so the second day, I was a bit off as I woke up late and so the eating timetable that I was on was pushed back later. I also worked out hard yesterday, two times as Shaun T wanted you to double up on Friday's and work out twice. Ow, ow ow! I could feel my body's muscles very sore as I did the best I could with it and this morning, it looks like I gained a half pound. It had to be muscle too! LOL
And I know, I know, I shouldn't be really weighing in that frequently, but the Daily Planner booklet that you get with Nutrisystem had a spot for it and I was curious. :)

So I am doing well thus far. I have kept up the workouts each day I should and in fact have to go check them off as being done on Beachbody. And I have kept the eating plan in tact too with no cheating at all. Tough when it is my favorite holiday, Halloween and all the sweets and goodies are out! Temptation at it's best! LOL

I have dinner coming up here shortly and a SmartCarb and I will probably have a salad with it as well to get in the last 3 vegetables I need in for the day. Then later on for the dessert.

Breakfast so far with Nutrisystem was a chocolate iced donut--that wasn't so good, a cake donut, not a yeast one and the chocolate all stuck to the wrapper! LOL Yesterday  I had the cranberry orange muffin which I have always liked and today was blueberry muffin which tasted a lil funny. Of course I also add in the Shakeology which is always good.

Lunch so far, I have had the red beans and rice which was pretty good and then the alfredo which was tasty and I had a nice salad yesterday at that time with it too. Today was a granola type bar and meh...it was ok, kinda chewy--sticky.

Dinner so far was Turkey and Gravy and Stuffing which I added some dried dates to it and it was pretty good. Last night was chicken and dumplings which was just ok. Not sure what tonight will be as I don't look, just pull something out of the cardboard tray and whatever it is, it is.

Desserts were chocolate chip and walnut cookies, those were good. Last night was white cheddar popcorn and it was pretty good. Again, not really picking, just reaching in and taking whatever shows up.

I love the Daily Planner so I can keep on target tho'! That has helped me a lot.

Today is rest day as far as exercise and tomorrow I do a stretch. NS wants me to work out in 3, 10 min intervals, either walk or whatever. I would but it's hot outside right now and well I should take a day and rest considering the hard workout of T25.

I am excited tho' to have lost a bit right off, it tells me I am on the right track! :)
So I will see where this takes me! :) Or I should say, where I go with it!
